Architectural practice website for Nahed Jawad Chakouf with custom content management system.

Context:

A colleague from Zaha Hadid Architects asked me to help his wife, Architect Nahed Jawad whom also previously worked for Zaha Hadid to design a website for her new practice. Nahed had recently completed her PhD at the Bartlett School of Architecture at University College London and was starting her own practice for projects in Europe and the Middle East.

Requirements:

The website needed to display project, practice and academic research with a strong emphasis on images with a customised content management system which enables the practice to add and update new information easily.

Solution:

A clear and contemporary image led project and research portfolio is the main focus of the website. The design and layout was developed alongside Nahed using a responsive design that works on all devices. The content management system was structured using similar methodology to what I've done for many Architecture and Interior Design practices during my career and experience in architectural presentation.

Results:

The website was launched in April 2020 and the practice is currently working on a range of projects including; a mixed use development in the Central Business District in Doha, Qatar; A sports masterplan and mixed use complex in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and various other projects between hundreds and hundreds of thousands of square meters in Gross Floor Area.
